Another TV-related rant
Right up there on the annoyance scale with people who are sanctimonious about how little tv they watch are people who brag about not having cable. Oh, really? You can watch shows on Hulu, iTunes, or YouTube? How 21st Century of you! But seriously, that doesn’t tell me you’re an advanced techie; it tells me you’re cheap. Where’s the fun of TV if you can’t have a group...
For those curious, a resolution.

Always Go to the Funeral
katie-mac: Always Go to the Funeral by Deirdre Sullivan (NPR: “This I believe” series) I believe in always going to the funeral. My father taught me that. The first time he said it directly to me, I was 16 and trying to get out of going to calling hours for Miss Emerson, my old fifth grade math teacher. I did not want to go. My father was unequivocal. “Dee,” he said, “you’re going. Always go...

Which is apparently relevant on foreign tv… I wonder if they think all Americans still dress like that. Anyhow (five year old spoiler alert), I cannot believe they let Julia have an abortion on network tv!!!
